Kids' Entrepreneurship Fair May 11

Come visit our booth, say "Hi" and buy products from The Crocheting Cowboy, Kassadi's Jewelry Box and GM Knitting on May 11 in Downtown Brighton, MI.

Leather Indian Bag

This is a fun and easy project that is perfect for beginners! This was my first native american project so, I'm proud of it. This is a small bag so maybe the indians used it for medicine or small stuff.   So what you need for this project is a 6x11 inch leather piece, 1 yard of leather sewing string and some beads.

First, I folded the piece of leather so it is now the piece of leather is now 6x11 1/2  inches big and whip stitch on the sides. Leave a little extra string to put beads on it. I put my own little spin on it by making a 1x15 inch strap for a tightning the top of the bag. After a few days with the strap on it, the bag began to close by itself without the strap! So go grab your leather, string beads and your tools and start working on it!!

Introducing the Crocheting Cowboy!

Three months ago, a new cowboy came in town. He ain't like any other. He crochets. That's me I own a company named "The Crocheting Cowboy". I learned to knit which led me to crochet. A few weeks into my crocheting class, I was making home decor. I loved making items I can use in my daily life.

I knew if I made too many, my room will be cluttered. So I had an idea, I can make my own company!  But there was one problem, I did not know what to name it. One day, while i was dressed up in a cowboy outfit, my Mom said "crocheting cowboy". Around this time my  Mom's Facebook came up with a Kids' Entrepreneurship Fair and we signed up for it. And now I have a reason to crochet during social studies! "I'm excited for this fair because I got a reason to crochet more!"
